Blog comment poster software

On average this blog gets 30-50 spam comments a day. So much so if I leave the blog unmoderated for a few days I have to delete all comments as I don’t have time to sieve through the spam to find the real comments.

I’ve noticed a few of the comments recently from an automated posting agent who try to make their automated comments relevant to the post by scanning it for keywords in the title- presumably to make it more likely the comment will slip through moderation and successfully gain a backlink.

Although the majority of blog software uses the nofollow command on external links in comments- making comments ineffective for SEO in the major search engines- this practice is still popular and widespread, invariably meaning it does get some results when implemented on a large enough scale.

The software costs $150 and from the looks of the comments it was posting on my blog, its not a good investment as the comments it leaves aren’t going to get through moderation on half decent blog sites.
